We are bridging the digital divide in Africa by training young people, women and girls in STEM and technology entrepreneurship.

About NkwangTech Foundation

A pioneering non-profit dedicated to addressing the digital divide in underserved communities of Cameroon. We promote STEM careers and creative thinking to build entrepreneurial skills and connect youth — particularly women and girls — to meaningful technological opportunities, transforming them into future leaders and creators of opportunities for others.

What “Nkwang” Means

« Nkwang » is a word from the Yemba language spoken in the West Region (Menoua Department) of Cameroon. It means to think. Nkwangtech — think using technology. Born from culture, built for the future.

Why We Exist

11%

of trained students in Cameroon find employment each year — leaving graduates without problem-solving skills, critical thinking, or strategies to stand out in a competitive job market.

Continuous Learning

Without a mindset that promotes lifelong learning, graduates struggle to adapt to emerging trends in the tech sector, where rapid innovations are constant.

Networking

The lack of access to professional networks disconnects young people from mentors, industry leaders, and job opportunities, limiting their ability to advance in STEM careers

LeaderShip

Bringing a collaborative spirit among youths in an inclusive and safe platform to make them stand out as the next generation of problem solvers and game changers.

Creativity

Without the skills to think creatively, many youths are unable to develop unique solutions to societal challenges or stand out in competitive job markets.
