Six concrete initiatives to train, connect and propel young people, women and rural communities in Cameroon towards a digital future.
During the three-month summer break, Nkwangtech opens its doors to primary and secondary school students for an intensive and fun program. Coding, robotics, computational thinking — young people learn to create, not just consume technology.
Scratch for younger students, Python and HTML/CSS for secondary school students.
Building and programming simple robots as a team.
Each participant leaves with a project they designed themselves.
The students pitch their solutions to a jury at the end of the program.
The Tech Safari is a unique initiative: instead of waiting for communities to come to us, we go to them. Nkwangtech trainers travel to villages to lead digital literacy workshops tailored to each context.
Each village receives a program tailored to its specific needs.
Smartphone use, internet, online security and digital services.
Digital applications for local agriculture and commerce.
Creation of tech ambassadors in each village visited.
Designed with expert coaches from the field, our STEM bootcamps are intensive sessions that equip young people and job seekers with the most in-demand skills. Each edition focuses on a specific theme.
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React: from zero to a professional portfolio.
Advanced Excel, Python data, visualization and decision-making.
Introduction to AI tools, prompt engineering and use cases.
CV, LinkedIn, pitch personnel, entretiens techniques et networking.
WomenUP is our flagship program for gender equality in STEM. Faced with cultural biases, a lack of female role models, and limited resources, we have created a safe, inspiring, and transformative space for women and girls.
Programming, data, professional digital tools adapted for beginners.
Workshops on public speaking, self-affirmation and project management.
Creation of a community of mutual support among participants.
The first village edition was launched recently — a new model.
Each WomenUP cohort welcomes 40 participants who experience 6 weeks of intensive training, mentoring, and networking. Since its launch, more than 100 women have benefited from the program.
